Schloss Bensberg, located in Bergisch Gladbach near Cologne, Germany, is a baroque palace with a complex history. Originally built in the 18th century for Wilhelm von Virich zu Dürselen, it underwent significant alterations in the 19th century under the ownership of the Counts of Maffei. The palace served various functions throughout its existence, including as a residence for nobility, a Benedictine monastery (hence “Schloss” - castle), and later as a hotel and conference center.

The building’s architecture reflects both Baroque and Classicist influences.
