The Carducci String Quartet will perform at The Tung Auditorium in Liverpool on February 10, 2027. The Tung Auditorium opened in 2023 as part of the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre at the University of Liverpool. Designed by Austin-Smith:Lord, the auditorium is specifically engineered for acoustic excellence and boasts a flexible design allowing for varied configurations – from chamber music settings to larger orchestral performances. It’s named in honour of the late Professor Shirley Tung, a significant benefactor to the University’s music department.

The venue aims to be a hub for musical activity within Liverpool, hosting performances by both established professional ensembles and emerging student musicians. Its construction incorporated sustainable building practices and prioritises accessibility for all audiences. The auditorium's interior features timber cladding intended to enhance the acoustic properties and create a warm aesthetic environment.
