The Canadian Opera Company Chorus will perform a concert at the Centre For The Arts, Toronto on October 8, 2026. The COC Chorus is renowned for its work within fully staged opera productions, but also undertakes independent concert performances showcasing choral repertoire spanning several centuries. Their musical style is inherently diverse, encompassing everything from the complex polyphony of Renaissance masters to the demands of 20th and 21st-century operatic works; a significant portion of their work focuses on supporting principal singers and enriching dramatic narratives through vocal ensemble work.

The Centre For The Arts, located within the University of Toronto Mississauga campus, opened in 2016. Designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects, it functions as a multi-disciplinary performance and learning space. Beyond hosting musical events, the facility supports theatre, dance and film studies. Its primary performance venue is a flexible studio theatre with approximately 400 seats, known for its excellent acoustics and adaptable configuration. The building incorporates sustainable design principles and serves both the university community and the broader Mississauga region as a cultural hub. It aims to foster collaboration between academic disciplines and artistic practice.
