Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will perform at Lighthouse, Poole on March 3rd, 2027. The BSO is recognised for its broad repertoire, encompassing standard orchestral works from the Baroque period through to contemporary compositions. Historically, the orchestra has a strong association with English music, frequently performing works by composers such as Elgar and Vaughan Williams, while also maintaining a commitment to showcasing international repertoire and commissioning new pieces. The orchestra regularly performs at major concert halls across the South West of England and beyond.

Lighthouse is a cultural centre in Poole, Dorset, opened in 1990. It functions as a theatre, concert hall and cinema complex. The building itself replaced the former Poole Arts Centre and was designed by architect Sir David Chipperfield, incorporating a distinctive concrete and glass facade. It serves as a key venue for performing arts in the region, hosting a diverse programme including theatre productions, dance performances, live music events and film screenings. Lighthouse underwent a significant refurbishment between 2021-2023 to improve accessibility and facilities whilst retaining its original architectural features. It is operated by BCP Council.
