Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will perform a concert at Lighthouse, Poole on February 3rd, 2027. Its history stretches back to 1893, originally founded as the Bournemouth Municipal Orchestra, evolving into a professional ensemble with national and international recognition.

Lighthouse, Poole is a multi-arts centre situated on the Dorset coastline. Opened in 1990, it replaced the former Poole Arts Centre and serves as a significant cultural hub for the region. The building’s architecture incorporates a distinctive sail-like structure designed by Sir Charles Jencks, reflecting Poole’s maritime heritage. It houses a theatre, concert hall – where the BSO will perform – cinema screens, and gallery spaces.
