Established in 1968 originally as a coffeehouse promoting local singer-songwriters it moved to its current location on San Pablo Avenue in 1972. The venue has hosted many prominent artists across these genres throughout its history and is recognized for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics. It operates as a non-profit organization committed to supporting live music performance and arts education within the community. The space seats approximately 480 people.
