Bob Reynolds is a contemporary jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist known for his work blending smooth jazz, funk, and instrumental pop elements. He gained prominence as a member of Snarky Puppy, a highly acclaimed instrumental collective, and has since established a successful solo career releasing albums featuring original compositions and interpretations of popular songs. His performances often highlight virtuosic saxophone playing alongside sophisticated arrangements and a focus on groove.
Fort Adams State Park, the venue for the August 1st, 2026 concert, is a historic coastal fortification located in Newport, Rhode Island. Construction began in 1852 as part of the Third System of coastal defenses, designed to protect Narragansett Bay. The fort never saw direct combat but served as an active military installation through World War II. It’s recognized as one of the largest and best-preserved coastal fortifications in the United States and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970.
Today, Fort Adams hosts various public events including concerts, festivals, and historical tours. Its expansive lawn areas offer significant space for large outdoor gatherings with views overlooking Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay.
