Metal Concerts in Minneapolis

Experience BLOOD live on July 18th

BLOOD is a musical project centered around the songwriting and performance of Mariam Wallentin and Jeronimo Rauch. Their music blends elements of jazz, improvisation, and experimental soundscapes, often incorporating spoken word and unconventional instrumentation. Characterized by a stark, emotionally resonant atmosphere, their work frequently explores themes of vulnerability and introspection. The duo has released several albums to critical acclaim, gaining recognition within European improvised music circles and beyond.

The Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has been a prominent venue for jazz and related musical genres since its founding in 1981. Originally established by Jim Pettersen, it quickly became a cornerstone of the city’s music scene. The venue is known for its intimate setting – a relatively small room designed to foster close connection between performers and audience members – and its commitment to showcasing both established artists and emerging talent. Over the years, The Dakota has hosted numerous internationally renowned musicians across a spectrum of jazz styles as well as artists from genres like blues, folk, and world music. It underwent significant renovations following flood damage in 2010 but remains dedicated to live performance.
