Experience Deafheaven live on October 3rd
Deafheaven is scheduled to perform at the Palace Theatre in Saint Paul, Minnesota on October 3, 2026. The band is recognized for its distinctive blend of black metal and shoegaze, often categorized as “blackgaze.” Their music incorporates elements of post-rock, creating atmospheric and emotionally resonant soundscapes alongside traditional black metal characteristics like tremolo picking and blast beats. Lyrical themes frequently explore themes of longing, loss, and beauty amidst darkness.
The Palace Theatre originally opened in 1916 as a Vaudeville house, known then as the Orpheum Theatre. Over its history, it transitioned through various uses including a movie palace during the height of cinema’s popularity. By the 1970s, it faced decline and eventual closure. A significant restoration project completed in 2017 revitalized the building, preserving much of its original architectural detail – including ornate plasterwork and decorative features – while upgrading it to function as a modern performing arts venue. Today, the Palace Theatre hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, theatrical performances, comedy shows and other live entertainment. The venue has a capacity of approximately 2,847 people.
