Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) was a prolific Italian Baroque composer, renowned primarily for his instrumental concertos, especially those for violin. His musical style is characterized by bright, energetic melodies, rhythmic drive, and innovative use of string instruments. He frequently employed a three-movement structure – fast-slow-fast – and explored contrasting instrumental textures. Vivaldi’s compositions often evoke vivid imagery, notably his collection *The Four Seasons*.

The concert on August 27th, 2026 will be held at Capilla Gótica in Mexico City. Constructed between 1908 and 1918 as part of the Panteón de Dolores cemetery complex, Capilla Gótica is a notable example of Gothic Revival architecture in Mexico. Designed by Italian architect Luigi Bertolli, it served as a family mausoleum for the Del Mazo family. The chapel’s interior features stained glass windows imported from France depicting religious scenes and notable figures.

Beyond its original function as a private burial space, Capilla Gótica has become recognized for its exceptional acoustics and atmospheric qualities.
