Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) was a prolific Italian Baroque composer, renowned for his instrumental concertos, particularly those for violin. His musical style is characterized by bright, energetic melodies, rhythmic drive, and innovative use of orchestration. He frequently employed a three-movement structure – fast-slow-fast – and explored dynamic contrasts and virtuosity within his compositions. Vivaldi’s *The Four Seasons* remains his most famous work, but his output encompasses over 500 concertos, operas, and sacred music pieces.

The concert on August 17th, 2026 will be held at Capilla Gótica in Mexico City. This venue is situated within the Panteón de San Jacinto, a historic cemetery established in 1872. The Capilla Gótica itself is a neo-Gothic style chapel constructed in 1895 by Italian architect Ettore Sottsass as a family mausoleum for Don José Roque. Its distinctive architecture features pointed arches, stained glass windows and intricate stonework typical of the Gothic Revival movement.
