Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) was a prolific Italian Baroque composer, renowned for his instrumental concertos, especially those for violin. His musical style is characterized by bright, clear textures, rhythmic vitality, and a distinctive use of string instruments. Vivaldi frequently employed a three-movement structure – fast-slow-fast – and explored innovative harmonic and melodic ideas within the established Baroque framework. He composed over 500 concertos, alongside operas, sacred music, and sonatas.

The concert on August 13th, 2026 will be held at Capilla Gótica in Mexico City. This architectural landmark originally served as the chapel for the *Hospital de San Hipólito*, founded in the 17th century to care for those with mental illness. Completed in 1908 under the direction of architect José Ramón Ibarrola, its Gothic Revival style was intentionally chosen to evoke a sense of solemnity and spiritual refuge. The building’s design incorporates elements inspired by European Gothic cathedrals, including pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and stained glass windows.
