Animal Collective will perform at Sid The Cat Auditorium in Los Angeles on September 15, 2026. The group is known for its experimental and psychedelic music, often categorized within indie rock and electronic genres. Their sound frequently incorporates elements of noise, sampling, and unconventional instrumentation, evolving significantly across their discography from early minimalist compositions to more densely layered and pop-influenced arrangements. Formed in Baltimore in 2000, the band currently consists of Avey Tare, Deakin, and Geologist; founding member Noah Lennox (Panda Bear) has intermittently participated in recent activity.

Sid The Cat Auditorium is a relatively new venue located in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, opening in late 2023. It’s designed as a mid-sized performance space focused on showcasing diverse musical acts with an emphasis on sound quality and artist comfort. The auditorium was developed by local concert promoter Spaceland Presents and aims to fill a gap between smaller club venues and larger arenas within the city’s music scene. It features a capacity of approximately 750 standing or 500 seated attendees and boasts a state-of-the-art sound system designed by acoustics firm Idibri.
