The hall has hosted numerous internationally acclaimed musicians throughout its history, including Arthur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz, and Herbert von Karajan.

The hall underwent significant renovations in 2005-2007 to modernize facilities while preserving its original architectural character and acoustic qualities.
