Alkaline Trio will be performing at O2 Academy Leeds on July 7, 2026. The band is recognized for their distinctive blend of melodic hardcore, punk rock, and emo influences, often characterized by dark lyrical themes, dual vocal harmonies, and a strong emphasis on storytelling. Formed in Chicago in 1998, Alkaline Trio have released nine studio albums to date, consistently maintaining a dedicated fanbase throughout their career.

O2 Academy Leeds is a prominent music venue located in the city centre, housed within a former theatre building on Woodhouse Lane. Originally opening as the Irish Centre in 1964, it underwent several transformations before being rebranded as the Town & Country Club in the 1990s. The venue was later acquired by Academy Music Group and renamed O2 Academy Leeds in 2008 following sponsorship from O2. It has a capacity of approximately 800 and hosts a diverse range of musical acts across various genres throughout the year. The building retains some of its original architectural features alongside modern sound and lighting systems. It is known for its intimate atmosphere and has played host to numerous established and emerging artists.
