Fat Dog is a UK-based band known for their energetic live performances and a distinctive blend of alternative rock, post-hardcore, and elements of jazz fusion. Their sound incorporates complex instrumental arrangements, dynamic shifts in tempo, and often features spoken-word passages alongside traditional vocal delivery. Formed in the early 2020s, they have quickly gained recognition within the UK underground music scene through extensive touring and independent releases.

O2 Academy Leeds is a prominent mid-sized music venue located in Leeds city centre, housed within a converted theatre originally built in 1938 as a cinema. It underwent significant refurbishment and reopened as a dedicated music venue in 2008 under the O2 Academy branding. The venue is known for its tiered layout providing good sightlines throughout, and hosts a diverse range of national and international artists across various genres including rock, indie, metal, electronic and pop. It has a capacity of approximately 800 people and regularly features both established acts and emerging talent. The building itself retains some of its original art deco features alongside modern sound and lighting systems.
