Àbáse will be performing at The Jazz Cafe in London on October 29, 2026. Àbáse is a Nigerian-British artist whose music blends elements of Afrobeats, jazz, and soul, often incorporating spoken word and intricate arrangements. His sound is characterized by complex polyrhythms, layered vocals, and lyrical themes exploring identity, spirituality, and contemporary life. He released his debut EP *Uncle Shabazz* in 2022 and has since gained recognition for his innovative approach to contemporary Black British music.

The Jazz Cafe, located in Camden Town, London, has been a prominent venue for both established and emerging jazz, soul and world music artists since its opening in 1990. Originally founded by musician Ronnie Scott and businessman Eddie Liston, it was designed to recreate the intimate atmosphere of the original Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho. The venue features a restaurant alongside the performance space and consistently hosts international touring acts alongside showcasing UK talent. It’s known for its close proximity to performers and its dedication to live music presentation; it underwent a significant refurbishment in 2018 but retains its core character as a listening room.
