The Interrupters emerged from Los Angeles in 2011, quickly gaining traction within the ska-punk revival scene. Comprised of siblings Aimee, Kevin, and Justin Bivins, alongside Jesse Frazier, the band blends high-energy ska rhythms with elements of punk rock, hardcore, and reggae. Their debut album, *Say It Out Loud* (2016), spawned the hit single “She’s Kicking Ass,” achieving platinum certification by the RIAA.
Following this success, *Fight Back* (2018) further solidified their position, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album – a somewhat controversial categorization given their ska-punk core but indicative of their diverse influences. Their third album, *In the Middle of Nowhere* (2022), debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Alternative and Rock Albums charts.
Known for their dynamic live performances and Aimee Bivins’ powerful vocals, The Interrupters champion messages of positivity, unity, and female empowerment. They've consistently toured with prominent acts like Rancid and have headlined major festivals globally.
