The Body is an American experimental metal duo formed in 1999 in Providence, Rhode Island, consisting of vocalist/guitarist Chip King and drummer Lee Buford. Renowned for their innovative fusion of sludge metal, noise, and drone, The Body has carved a distinct niche within the heavy music landscape. Their sound is characterized by dense, abrasive textures combined with haunting atmospheres and emotionally raw vocals, pushing the boundaries of conventional metal.

Over two decades, The Body has released numerous critically acclaimed albums, including "All the Waters of the Earth Turn to Blood" (2010), "I Shall Die Here" (2014) in collaboration with rapper/producer Thou, and "One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache" (2020) with Full of Hell.
