Grade 2, the electronic music duo comprised of Josh Scallion and Matt Walden, emerged from Bristol, UK, in 2010. Initially gaining traction through free downloads and a strong online presence, they quickly became synonymous with a distinctive blend of bass music, drum & bass, and melodic dubstep. Their sound is characterized by intricate sound design, emotive melodies, and a focus on atmospheric textures – often described as “cinematic” or “future garage.”

Early releases on labels like UKF Music and Hospital Records established their signature style. A pivotal moment came with "Heads Will Roll (Grade 2 Remix)" of Yeah Yeah's hit, garnering millions of plays and significantly boosting their profile. They’ve since released original tracks and remixes on prominent labels including Monstercat and RAM Records.

Grade 2 have amassed over 300 million streams across platforms, toured extensively throughout Europe and North America supporting acts like Netsky and Pendulum, and consistently feature on major festival lineups. Their consistent output demonstrates a commitment to evolving their sound while retaining the emotional depth that defines their work. They continue to release music independently and via label partnerships.
