Zoe Rahman is a British jazz pianist renowned for her deeply lyrical and harmonically rich compositions, often blending jazz improvisation with influences from her Bangladeshi heritage and classical music training. Her work frequently incorporates elements of Bengali folk melodies and rhythms alongside a strong post-bop aesthetic. She has released several critically acclaimed albums, including “Muslim Time” and “Picasso on the Warpath”, and is a regular performer at major UK jazz festivals.

Peggy’s Skylight is a relatively new, intimate jazz club located in Nottingham city centre, opening in 2022. It occupies a space above the Flying Horse Walk shopping arcade, previously used as storage. The venue was established with the intention of creating a dedicated listening space for jazz and related genres, filling a gap in Nottingham’s live music scene.

The club's name pays homage to Peggy Seeger, a celebrated folk musician and activist, reflecting an ethos of supporting both established and emerging artists. Peggy’s Skylight prioritises high-quality sound and an atmosphere conducive to attentive listening; it has quickly become recognised for its commitment to showcasing diverse talent within the jazz spectrum. The venue operates as both a performance space and a bar/restaurant.
