Zoe Rahman is a British pianist renowned for her deeply expressive and technically brilliant jazz interpretations, often rooted in her Bangladeshi heritage. Born in Chichester in 1980, Rahman initially trained classically before discovering jazz, profoundly influenced by artists like Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 2000.

Rahman’s style blends intricate improvisation with melodic sensitivity, frequently incorporating elements of raga and traditional Bengali folk music into her compositions. Her discography includes critically acclaimed albums like *Salt Rain* (2006), nominated for the Mercury Prize, *Pictures of Cuba* (2012), inspired by a residency there, and *Visions* (2017), showcasing original works.

She has collaborated extensively with diverse musicians including Django Bates, Courtney Pine, and violinist Idris Mohamed. Beyond leading her own trio and quartet, Rahman composes for film and theatre. A passionate educator, she also leads workshops and masterclasses.
