Yannick Nézet-Séguin will conduct a performance at Verizon Hall within the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia on April 1, 2027. Nézet-Séguin is renowned for his dynamic and emotionally resonant interpretations of orchestral repertoire, encompassing a broad range from standard classics to contemporary works. He currently serves as Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera and the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal, alongside his role as Chief Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Verizon Hall, the primary performance space within the Kimmel Center, opened in 2001. It is known for its exceptional acoustics, designed by acoustician Russell Johnson. The hall’s design incorporates adjustable elements – including a variable acoustics system – allowing it to be tailored for different ensembles and performance types, ranging from orchestral concerts to Broadway shows. The Kimmel Center itself was conceived as a revitalization project for Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts, aiming to establish a world-class performing arts destination. It houses multiple performance spaces beyond Verizon Hall, including the Perelman Theater and the SEI Innovation Studio.
