The venue’s natural acoustics and hillside setting contribute to its unique atmosphere. Significant renovations occurred in 1981 to improve accessibility and functionality while preserving its historical character. It is owned and operated by Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC). The theatre holds approximately 8,500 seats.
