The Royal Albert Hall opened in 1871 and was originally named in memory of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband. It is a Grade I listed Victorian building celebrated for its distinctive circular design and exceptional acoustics. Throughout its history, it has hosted a diverse range of events including classical concerts, orchestral performances, film screenings, sporting events and popular music concerts. The Hall is particularly known for its association with the annual BBC Proms festival which has been held there since 1941.
