The Kultur Kongress Zentrum Eisenstadt serves as the primary cultural hub for the Burgenland region. Originally opened in 1993, the KKZ was designed by architect Erich Boltenstern and features a main hall with a capacity of approximately 880 seats, alongside several smaller conference and event spaces. The building’s architecture incorporates historical references to Eisenstadt Castle, the former residence of the Esterházy princes, significant patrons of music – notably Joseph Haydn who spent a considerable portion of his career in service to the Esterházy family.
