Boris, a Japanese experimental rock band formed in 1992, will be performing at Arena Wien on October 7, 2026. Their music defies easy categorization, evolving from drone/doom metal roots to encompass elements of shoegaze, psychedelic rock, noise, and even pop sensibilities. Characterized by extreme volume, extended instrumental passages, and a dynamic range spanning quiet ambience to crushing distortion, Boris’s discography is notable for its prolific output and conceptual album series like “Pink” and “Yellow.” The band frequently utilizes feedback and unconventional song structures.

Arena Wien is a multi-purpose event venue located in the Leopoldstadt district of Vienna. Originally constructed as the "Wienhalle" in 1974 for the International Horticultural Exhibition (Bundesgartenschau), it underwent extensive renovations and rebranding as Arena Wien in 2015. The venue boasts a flexible space capable of hosting concerts, sporting events, conferences and other large-scale productions. Its adaptable design allows for varying seating arrangements and stage configurations accommodating audiences up to approximately 4,800 people depending on the event setup.
