Victor Wooten will perform at Hart Theatre at The Egg in Albany, New York on September 19, 2026. Wooten is a highly acclaimed American bassist and composer known for his innovative and virtuosic playing style. His music blends elements of jazz, funk, soul, and bluegrass, often characterized by complex harmonic structures, percussive techniques on the bass guitar – including slapping, tapping, and harmonics – and improvisational exploration. He frequently incorporates storytelling and philosophical themes into his performances. Wooten has received five Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Jazz Album as a member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones.

Hart Theatre is the larger of two performance spaces within The Egg, a multi-performing arts complex in Albany’s Empire State Plaza.
