Van Goat is scheduled to perform at Pleasant Hill City Hall on July 19, 2026. The band characterizes their sound as “post-bovine dream pop,” blending elements of psychedelic rock, shoegaze, and ambient textures with lyrical themes often centered around pastoral imagery and existential questioning. Formed in 2018, Van Goat has released three studio albums to date, gaining a following for their atmospheric live performances and unconventional instrumentation.

Pleasant Hill City Hall serves as both the municipal government building and a community event space for the city of Pleasant Hill. Originally constructed in 1938 as a Public Works Administration (PWA) project during the Great Depression, the building is noted for its Art Deco architectural style featuring locally sourced sandstone and intricate terra cotta detailing. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, recognizing its architectural significance and role in the city’s history. The hall’s auditorium has hosted a variety of events over the decades, including town meetings, theatrical productions, and musical performances; it has a seating capacity of approximately 350 people.
