Trijntje Oosterhuis is a Dutch singer known for her versatile vocal style encompassing jazz, soul, pop, and world music influences. Emerging to prominence in the early 1990s, she initially gained recognition as the vocalist for the jazz group Total Touch, before launching a successful solo career characterized by emotive delivery and sophisticated arrangements. Her discography includes numerous albums achieving platinum status in the Netherlands and Belgium, and she has represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The venue, Sunset/Sunside, is a renowned jazz club located in Paris’s 10th arrondissement. Established in 1983, it originally operated as two separate clubs – Sunset for more established artists and Sunside dedicated to emerging talent – before merging into a single space with two performance rooms.
