Experience Traditional live on July 4th

Traditional is a folk music ensemble specializing in the performance and preservation of British Isles traditional songs and tunes. Their repertoire draws heavily from English, Scottish, and Irish sources, often featuring unaccompanied vocals alongside arrangements incorporating instruments like the fiddle, guitar, and concertina. The group is known for its commitment to historical accuracy in performance practice and a focus on storytelling through song.

Kensington United Reformed Church is a historic building located in Kensington, London. Originally built as Kensington Chapel in 1857-58 by Sir George Gilbert Scott, it’s a notable example of High Victorian Gothic architecture. The church became part of the United Reformed Church denomination in 1972, formed by the union of Presbyterian and Congregational churches. Throughout its history, the church has maintained a strong tradition of musical performance; its acoustic properties are frequently utilized for choral and instrumental concerts. The building features significant stained glass windows and ornate interior detailing reflecting its Victorian origins. It continues to serve as an active place of worship alongside hosting community events and cultural performances.

Traditional will be performing at this venue on July 4th, 2026.
