Ibibio Sound Machine will perform at Islington Town Hall/Assembly Hall in London on November 25, 2026. The band creates a unique sound blending modern electronic music with elements of traditional Nigerian highlife, funk, and disco. Fronted by Eno Williams’ powerful vocals – often sung in Efik, Ibibio and English – their music incorporates synthesizers, guitars, and live percussion to create a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Formed in London in 2012, Ibibio Sound Machine has gained international recognition for its innovative approach to African-influenced dance music.

Islington Town Hall/Assembly Hall is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1905. Originally designed by Cecil Thomas and William Hunt, it exemplifies Edwardian Baroque architecture. The Assembly Hall, the space where Ibibio Sound Machine will perform, served as a public hall for civic functions and events throughout the 20th century. It underwent significant refurbishment in the early 2000s to modernize its facilities while preserving its original architectural features. Today it functions as a versatile event space hosting concerts, weddings, conferences and other performances; known for its ornate interior and good acoustics.
