TOS live in The Hague

TOS, the musical project of Dutch composer and multi-instrumentalist Michel Banabila, will perform at Museum Beelden aan Zee in The Hague on July 10, 2026. TOS’s music is characterized by its atmospheric and immersive qualities, often described as a blend of ambient, electronic, and world music influences. It frequently incorporates field recordings and manipulated acoustic instruments to create textured soundscapes, exploring themes of nature, space, and spirituality. Banabila initially developed the project in the early 1990s following his work with the electronic group XY & Alpha.

Museum Beelden aan Zee, translating to “Sculptures by the Sea Museum,” opened in 1995 and is dedicated to contemporary international sculpture. The museum’s collection features works from the late 20th and 21st centuries, displayed both within the museum building – a former seaside hotel – and in the surrounding dune landscape. Its unique location directly overlooking the North Sea profoundly influences the museum's character and curatorial focus; many exhibited pieces interact with or reflect the coastal environment.
