Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich, Lower Austria’s Tonkünstler Orchestra, is recognized for its versatile repertoire spanning from the Classical and Romantic periods through to contemporary compositions. This venue is renowned globally for its exceptional acoustics and is historically significant as the home of the Vienna Philharmonic. Completed in 1870, the Musikverein was designed by Hans Semper and boasts a distinctive neo-Renaissance architectural style. The Golden Hall ("Goldener Saal"), where the concert will take place, is particularly celebrated; its design intentionally eschewed traditional shoebox shapes in favor of a more rectangular form which contributes to its warm and resonant sound. The hall’s acoustics are largely attributed to the use of over 6,000 individual wooden components in its construction.
