Tonkünstler-Orchester, established in 1902, is renowned for its versatile repertoire spanning from classical and romantic works to contemporary compositions. The orchestra maintains a strong tradition of performing both core orchestral literature and championing Austrian composers, often focusing on interpretations characterized by clarity and emotional depth. It regularly collaborates with internationally acclaimed soloists.

The concert on June 6th, 2027 will take place at the Musikverein in Vienna. This venue holds significant historical and musical importance; it opened in 1870 and is widely considered one of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, primarily due to its exceptional acoustics. The Musikverein is home to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra but regularly hosts performances by other ensembles.

Its architectural style is High Victorian, incorporating elements of neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque design. The hall’s famed “Golden Hall” – where the concert will be held – features gilded ornamentation and a shoebox shape which contributes significantly to its renowned sound quality, often described as warm and resonant. The hall was designed by Hans Hansen and Karl Hasenauer.
