Tonkünstler-Orchester, established in 1946, is a renowned Austrian symphony orchestra with a core repertoire spanning the Classical and Romantic periods, alongside significant contemporary works. The orchestra is known for its versatility, frequently collaborating with international soloists and embracing a broad range of musical styles beyond the standard orchestral literature. It holds a prominent position within Austria’s musical landscape, regularly performing throughout Lower Austria and Vienna.

The concert on April 4th, 2027 will take place at the Musikverein in Vienna. This concert hall, inaugurated in 1870, is widely considered one of the world’s most prestigious venues for classical music. Its exceptional acoustics are largely attributed to its vineyard terrace construction and the specific wood used in its building – specifically beechwood for the stage and maple for the seating.

The Musikverein is historically associated with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which resides there and performs its New Year's Concert annually broadcast globally. However, it also hosts performances by other orchestras and ensembles.
