Tonkünstler-Orchester, Niederösterreich und Wien, is recognized for its versatile repertoire spanning from the Classical and Romantic periods through to contemporary compositions. The orchestra frequently performs works by Austrian composers, but also showcases international masterpieces, demonstrating a commitment to both tradition and innovation. Founded in 1923, it holds a prominent position within Austria’s orchestral landscape, serving as the resident orchestra of the Festspielhaus St. Pölten and maintaining a strong presence in Vienna’s concert halls.

The concert on March 5th, 2027 will take place at the Musikverein in Vienna. This venue is internationally renowned as one of the world's most prestigious concert halls, famed particularly for its exceptional acoustics. Completed in 1870 and designed by Hans Hansen, the Musikverein is home to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts over 600 events annually. Its Golden Hall ("Goldener Saal") is celebrated for its shoebox shape and rich interior decoration – featuring gilded ornamentation – which contribute significantly to its acoustic qualities. The hall was built as part of a larger complex intended for social gatherings and artistic pursuits by Vienna’s burgeoning middle class during the Austro-Hungarian Empire era.
