Tommy Emmanuel, a highly acclaimed Australian guitarist, is scheduled to perform at The Old Market Hall (Stará Tržnica) in Bratislava, Slovakia on November 13, 2026. Emmanuel’s musical style is rooted in a blend of fingerstyle guitar, incorporating elements of jazz, blues, folk, rock and classical music. He is globally recognized for his complex arrangements, percussive techniques – often utilizing the guitar as a drum as well as a melodic instrument – and energetic stage presence. The Old Market Hall serves as a significant cultural and historical landmark in Bratislava. Originally constructed between 1910 and 1911, it functioned primarily as a wholesale market for food supplies. Designed in the Art Nouveau style by architect Mikuláš Gruber, the building features distinctive architectural details and served an essential economic role for the city for much of the 20th century. Following extensive renovations completed in 2018, it now operates as a multi-purpose space hosting concerts, exhibitions, markets and other cultural events while retaining its original architectural character. The hall’s acoustics are considered suitable for a range of performances including solo instrumental acts.
