Stephen Bruner, known professionally as Thundercat, is scheduled to perform at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas on November 8, 2026. Thundercat’s music blends elements of jazz fusion, funk, soul, and electronic music, often featuring complex basslines and philosophical or whimsical lyrical content. He gained prominence initially as a session musician, collaborating with artists like Erykah Badu and Flying Lotus, before releasing his critically acclaimed solo albums *The Golden Age of Apocalypse* (2013) and *Drunk* (2017). His work is characterized by virtuosic musicianship and a distinctive vocal style.

The Bomb Factory originally opened in 1990 as a live music venue in Deep Ellum, Dallas. Throughout the 1990s it hosted numerous nationally and internationally touring acts across various genres including alternative rock, industrial and electronic music. The venue closed in 2006 but was renovated and reopened in 2018 following significant investment. It now operates as a multi-purpose event space retaining its industrial aesthetic while accommodating larger crowds; its capacity is approximately 4,000 people.
