The Tubs are scheduled to perform at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina on November 8, 2026. The Tubs create music generally categorized as power pop, drawing influence from 1970s and 80s new wave and punk rock aesthetics. The band initially gained attention in the early 2000s with a series of independently released EPs before achieving wider recognition with subsequent full-length albums.

Cat’s Cradle is a well-known independent music venue located in Carrboro, a town adjacent to Chapel Hill. Established in 1977 by Bill McDonald, it has become a significant fixture in the regional music scene and has hosted numerous nationally and internationally recognized artists across diverse genres throughout its history. Originally operating as a small club focused on blues and jazz, it quickly expanded to embrace alternative rock, indie rock, and other contemporary styles. The venue consists of two primary stages: the "Main Room" which holds approximately 750 attendees and the “Back Room” offering a more intimate setting for around 175 people.
