Experience the north live on July 20th

The musical group, the north, will be performing at Somerset House in London on July 20, 2026. Somerset House is a significant historical building located in the City of Westminster. Originally constructed between 1776 and 1789 by Sir William Chambers, it was initially intended to house naval offices – specifically the Navy Board and later the Admiralty. The building’s neoclassical design reflects Palladian architecture and features a central courtyard with a striking fountain.

Throughout its history, Somerset House has served various purposes beyond its naval origins. It briefly functioned as a tax office before becoming a gallery space in the late 19th century. Today, it operates as a cultural centre hosting exhibitions, events and concerts within its historic rooms and courtyard. It remains a prominent example of Georgian architecture and is a Grade I listed building.
