Folk Concerts in Portland

Experience The Milk Carton Kids live on October 7th

The Milk Carton Kids are scheduled to perform at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon on October 7, 2026. The duo, Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan, are known for their intricate and harmonically rich acoustic folk music. Their style often features closely intertwined guitar work and vocals, drawing comparisons to artists like Townes Van Zandt and Nick Drake. They gained prominence through independent touring and word-of-mouth, eventually releasing albums on labels like Anti-Folk Collective and Merge Records.

Revolution Hall is a historic venue located in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland. Originally constructed in 1909 as a high school, it served as John Marshall High School until 1984. Following a period of disuse, it was renovated and reopened as a concert venue and event space in 2010. The building retains many of its original architectural features, including a large auditorium with significant historical character. It's known for its excellent acoustics and standing-room-only general admission format for many shows, creating an intimate concert experience despite its capacity of approximately 1,600 people. The venue hosts a diverse range of musical acts and other performances throughout the year.
