The Hot Sardines will perform at Birdland Marina in New York City on September 29, 2026. The Hot Sardines are a modern jazz ensemble known for their energetic performances and interpretations of hot jazz, early swing, and American roots music from the 1920s through 1940s. Their sound frequently incorporates elements of Dixieland, blues, and Tin Pan Alley compositions, delivered with a contemporary flair. The band gained prominence through busking in New York City subways and has since toured internationally and released several albums.

Birdland Marina is a relatively new venue established as an extension of the historic Birdland Jazz Club. The original Birdland, operating from 1949 to 1965 at 315 West 44th Street, was a legendary landmark in jazz history hosting many prominent musicians like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. The current Birdland continues to operate at a different location (315 West 44th Street) while Birdland Marina, opened in 2023, offers an outdoor performance space situated on the Hudson River.
