Originally formed by trombonist and bandleader Glenn Miller in 1938, the orchestra achieved significant commercial success with recordings of pieces like “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” and “Pennsylvania 6-5000.” Following Miller’s disappearance in 1944, the orchestra was reconstituted by members of his band and continues to tour internationally, maintaining the original arrangements and style.
