Experience The Glenn Miller Orchestra live on August 19th
The Glenn Miller Orchestra will be performing at the Spire Center for the Performing Arts in Plymouth, Massachusetts on August 19, 2026. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is renowned for its performance of classic big band jazz from the 1930s and 40s, a style characterized by arrangements featuring sections of brass, reeds, and rhythm instruments. Originally formed by trombonist and bandleader Glenn Miller in 1938, the orchestra achieved immense popularity during World War II with hits like “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” and “Pennsylvania 6-5000.” Following Miller’s disappearance in 1944, the orchestra was reconstituted by his widow, Helen Miller, and continues to tour today under license, maintaining the original arrangements and sound.
The Spire Center for the Performing Arts is a non-profit arts organization located in a renovated historic First Church Congregational building in Plymouth. Opened in 2014, it serves as a multi-disciplinary arts venue hosting a variety of performances including concerts, theatre productions, film screenings and community events.
