Experience The Glenn Miller Orchestra live on December 14th

The Glenn Miller Orchestra is scheduled to perform at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on December 14, 2026. The orchestra is renowned for its performances of classic American swing and jazz music popularized during the 1930s and 40s. Originally led by trombonist and composer Glenn Miller, the ensemble achieved widespread fame with hits such as “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” and “Chattanooga Choo Choo.” Following Miller’s disappearance in 1944, the orchestra was reorganized and has continued to tour internationally under various musical directors, maintaining the original arrangements and style.

Sacramento Memorial Auditorium opened in 1926 as a tribute to Sacramento County residents who served in World War I. Designed in the Beaux-Arts architectural style, it quickly became a central venue for civic events, concerts, and theatrical productions. Throughout its history, the auditorium has hosted a diverse range of performers, including musicians, speakers, and dance companies. It underwent significant renovations in the 1980s to restore many of its original features while updating facilities. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, recognizing its cultural and architectural significance to the city of Sacramento.
