Experience The Gesualdo Six live on September 2nd

The Gesualdo Six will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 2nd, 2026. This vocal ensemble is renowned for its interpretations of Renaissance polyphony, particularly the works of Carlo Gesualdo, from whom the group takes its name. Their repertoire extends beyond Gesualdo to encompass composers such as William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, and Palestrina, characterized by rich harmonic textures, expressive phrasing, and a commitment to historically informed performance practice. The group frequently explores themes of love, loss, and spirituality within their programming.

The Royal Albert Hall opened in 1871 and was originally named in memory of Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. Designed by Captain Francis Fowke and Henry Scott Stokes, it is a prominent example of Victorian architecture and holds Grade I listed building status. The Hall’s distinctive elliptical shape contributes to its renowned acoustics. Throughout its history it has hosted a diverse range of events including classical concerts, orchestral performances, film screenings and sporting events; becoming a significant cultural landmark in London and the United Kingdom. It is famed for hosting the annual BBC Proms season. The venue seats approximately 5,234 people.
