Waldwirtschaft is a historic beer garden and music venue located south of Munich. Established in 1888, it gained prominence in the post-war era as a key location for American soldiers stationed in Germany who introduced jazz music to the venue. This led to regular performances by prominent American jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Ella Fitzgerald throughout the 1950s and 60s.
