The Prinzregententheater is a historic theatre located in the Schwabing district of Munich. Opened in 1903, it was commissioned by entrepreneur Karl Brandt and initially served as a venue for operettas and variety shows. The building’s architecture reflects the Art Nouveau style prevalent at the time of its construction. During World War II, the theatre suffered significant damage but was subsequently rebuilt and reopened in 1959.

Today, the Prinzregententheater hosts a diverse program of events including opera, operetta, musicals, concerts and stage productions.
