Blossom Music Center, which opened in 1968, is a dedicated outdoor amphitheater located in Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Cleveland, Ohio. Designed by Pietro Belluschi and established through the generosity of the George Gund Foundation, it serves as the summer home of The Cleveland Orchestra. The venue is notable for its natural setting – nestled within a forested area – and its lawn seating accommodating a large audience alongside a covered pavilion. Blossom was specifically conceived to bring orchestral music to a wider public outside of the traditional concert hall environment. It has hosted numerous internationally acclaimed musicians throughout its history and remains a significant cultural landmark in Northeast Ohio.
